The flight aligns with DHL’s sustainability commitments, targeting zero emissions by 2050 through reduced fuel consumption and promotion of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in line with the GoGreen Plus initiative launched in 2023.
Hamad International Airport reported handling 2,340,711 tonnes of cargo in 2023, a 1% increase, showcasing a growing trend in cargo operations. The airport is progressing into phase B of its expansion plans, aiming to welcome over 70 million travelers annually and enhancing the overall airport experience.
The strategic partnership with DHL sets the stage for a dynamic 2024. Hamad International Airport plans to welcome more airline partners, improve connectivity, and support Qatar in hosting various world-class events. Additionally, 2024 marks a milestone year as the airport celebrates its 10th year of operations.
